Calgary: Downtown Rally To Mark 9/11

Uniting Calgarians by rallying in support of 9/11 victims and Canadian troops in Afghanistan is the goal of a Calgary man.

Luke Thomas said he's concerned the terrorist attacks against the U.S. on Sept. 11, 2001, are at risk of fading from memory.

"I don't think it's something we should forget," said Thomas, who has joined with friends to organize a rally outside city hall Sunday at 3 p.m.

"We also want to extended a particular invitation to the Muslim community. This is an opportunity for the Muslim community to come out strong," he said.

Could be just me but I think the local bloggers may outnumber the Muslims...

In any case, lets get as many folks as possible out to show that we haven't forgotten.
